about

No acoustic guitar was one of the guiding ideas of this album, but this song snuck through! On the other hand, it's got the wackiest structure and is far from traditional, so it still fit with the rest. This is the only one of the bunch where I kept the drums from the original demo, recorded by myself with one overhead mic in the Clinton St. basement, under the stairwell. Tried to replicate it at Jon's house with more mics, but it just didn't have the right feel. This was the last recording to come together. Glad it worked out, because I think it adds onto some of the themes of the album nicely.

lyrics

You are the souls
The hours in the sand
The colors in the wind
The lions in the bed

I needed to believe good is in the world
All my love is here walking through the world
Go on

You give more to love more

On your way, on your way
Be drawn to the light, drawn to the light

Listen to the train rumble through the house
Love is all around, it’ll take you for a ride
Let it take you for a ride
